Healthwatch Kingston's Open Meeting - Cold weather services for vulnerable people (12 December 2024)

Healthwatch Kingston welcomed local people to our December Open Meeting, which focused on cold weather services for vulnerable people and we learned about winter services for rough sleepers.
There was also an update from the All Age Learning Disability Partnership Board and Involve, and from the Autism and ADHD Partnership Board.
Our team provided an update about Healthwatch Kingston's Including Communities and Including Digitally Excluded community engagement reports and recommendations and we concluded with highlights from the project work of Youth Out Loud! (our group of young Healthwatchers). -

Healthwatch Kingston (HWK) champions better standards of care in socially funded health and social care services. This report presents the findings of the HWK Authorised Representatives’ visit to Sherwood Grange Care Home (Sherwood Grange). Sherwood Grange is situated in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames (RBK) and is one of the homes run by Care UK. -

There are small grants available to help shape and develop an anti-racist health and care system in South West London. Kingston Race and Equalities Council (KREC), in partnership with South West London (SWL) health and care partners is working to develop anti-racist approaches to health and care. This programme is an opportunity to ensure that the voices of minoritised communities are heard and that their experiences inform real change.
