Kingston Cost of Living Support Over The Holidays

We know this is a challenging time with increasing costs for everyone, but there is support available for people struggling over the festive period, below you can find advice and information, of cost of living support and details on local Kingston food banks and community fridges.

Cost of Living Support in Kingston 

Additional funding is now available for low-income households in Kingston who meet the criteria and are struggling to afford food, fuel, utility bills and other essentials.  

The Household support fund runs from 1st October 2024 to 31st March 2025 inclusive. 
Applications will remain open during this time, subject to the availability of funds. Information can be found here. 

Access to Food 

Kingston Foodbank services are provided in partnership with The Trussell Trust. 

The Foodbank provides three days’ of nutritionally-balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred in a crisis. Find out how to access them here.

There are also several other community based foodbanks that provide emergency food support that can be accessed without the need for a voucher.

Open Tuesday's and Saturdays 10am - 1pm

New Malden Community Fridge

Open every Friday 11am - 1pm

Kingston Environment Centre,1 Kingston Road, New Malden KT3 3PE

Relocated Surbiton Community Fridge 

Open Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/ Friday from 11 am to 1 pm. Closed on Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday
