Health and Wellbeing Day - March 2022

We are very proud to have been a part of The Health and Wellbeing Day for people experiencing homelessness, refugees, asylum seekers and other migrant communities in Kingston.

We were joined by Kingston Council, Spear, Public Health, Refugee Action Kingston, Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness, Kingston Voluntary Action, and Your Healthcare at this fantastic event in order to support vaccine hesitancy within the homeless community which was supported by charity organisations in reaching asylum seekers who still require their vaccinations.

The event also provided an opportunity for attendees to receive health & wellbeing advice from a range of local services and organisations; essential kits (containing toiletries and long-life food items); hair cuts and a hot breakfast and lunch.

Healthwatch Kingston had a stall which promoted the work that we do and provided attendees with an opportunity to share their experiences of accessing health and social care services. This valuable feedback has informed our work around Health Inequalities.

Resources from the day

We helped co-design a couple of posters to help inform people on how to access local dentist and GP services. These are below.
