During Kingston Mental health and Wellbeing Group meetings we receive updates about the community mental health transformation programme - an initiative across England that aims to address the long-term challenges faced by people requiring NHS mental health services.

One key change that has already happened is that the Kingston and Richmond Assessment Team has now split into a Kingston and a Richmond Team.

The group looked at how the Better Mental health Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) priorities are being delivered, with an update on local “Be Well Hubs” led by Citizens UK and South London Listens, as well as through housing and the Cambridge Road Estate Regeneration Programme.
Provide independent evaluation of the South West London Community Mental Health Transformation Programme in Kingston.
A Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) Peer Support Service is being developed as part of the South West London Transformation work. HW Kingston will be working with partners to monitor the new peer support service lead by Mind in Kingston.
Sutton has established their services and we are using learning from HW Sutton in how best to monitor and evaluate the service in Kingston.
In the new year Kingston Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT) will become part of Kingston SPA. There is a longer-term plan to merge with iCope in the future.
