Our Task Group Volunteers

Tony Williams - Chair of the Mental Health Task Group

Tony has lived in Kingston all his life. He has learned about life in Kingston schools, the college and the university. He took retirement from the civil service a few years ago and experienced poor mental health as a result. His experience motivated him to seek improvement of the system, and he sees Healthwatch as a means for doing that. He lives in North Kingston with his wife Jill, a midwife, and son Hugh, a student at Kingston University. He is fond of food, drink, lurid shirts and walking in Richmond Park. Tony is now a practising counsellor and psychotherapist working in the Kingston area.

Graham Goldspring - Chair of the Hospital Services Task Group

Graham has been with Healthwatch Kingston since its establishment. He is a retired teacher. He taught for 30 years at Tiffin School and then at a comprehensive school in West London, as Head of Biology and Head of Science. After he retired, he was a volunteer with Kingston Council as a member of the Domestic Abuse Forum, the LGBT Forum and the Hate Crime Policy Group. He has been Chair of the Hospital Services Task Group since March 2014. In addition, he represents Healthwatch Kingston on the Kingston Hospital Dementia Strategy Steering Group and is a volunteer PLACE assessor and a member of the PLACE Steering Group.

He has enjoyed bringing his experience of data evaluation and methodologies to the work of the Task Groups and is keen to support the work of Healthwatch Kingston in improving patients’ experience of health services, particularly those with dementia.
