About this event
Mental health problems affect one in four of us, yet too many people are made to feel isolated, ashamed and worthless because of this. Time to Talk Day encourages everyone to be more open about mental health – to talk, to listen, to change lives.
We know that talking about mental health can feel awkward, but it doesn't have to.
Time to Talk Day in Kingston - drop in to New Malden Library
The Time to Change Champions are organising a 'Living Library' where members of the public can drop in and read a little bit about their stories (via a 'mini bio' on a board) and then talk to them in person to hear more about their lived experience.
As well as having Champions there on the day to share their mental health stories, there will also be a number of recorded stories for people to listen to at the stand via headphones.
Time to Change Kingston is a partnership of local people and organisations. The partnership is hosted by the Royal Borough of Kingston (RBK) and coordinated by Healthwatch Kingston. Time to Change is a social movement aiming to change the way people think and act about mental health.
